Authorised Economic Operator (AEOF)

13GR000001 AEOF 00006

Attiki Kinisi Logistics S.A was the first Greek Logistics company to receive the Authorised Economic Operator certification. The AEO concept is based on the Customs-to-Business partnership introduced by the World Customs Organisation (WCO).

Traders who voluntarily meet a range of criteria work in close cooperation with customs authorities to assure the common objective of supply chain security and are entitled to enjoy benefits throughout the EU.
Some of the AEO accreditation benefits include:

  • Fewer physical and document-based controls related: i) to security & safety ii) related to other customs legislation
  • lower rate of physical inspections of imported/exported goods, faster release of shipments, preferential treatment by Customs Authorities, and deferred payment of duties, to the companies that meet compliance criteria

Essentially any AEO accredited organisation is considered as a reliable partner who aims at reducing any dangers that may incur in the supply chain process.
